Lip Game

FotorCreatedA lot of you have recently asked me on Instagram about what make up I use, so here’s two of my current favourite beauty products! I often use Revlon’s Colour Burst Lacquer in the Ingenue colour either alone or as a base under glosses. Typically lipsticks tend to dry my lips but the Colour Burst Lacquer range keeps them moisturised. It’s got a smooth application with a creamy, rather than sticky finish which I absolutely love. Does anyone else hate getting your hair stuck in sticky lipsticks? Anyway, I’ll definitely be trying out Revlon’s Colour Burst Matte range soon in hopes that it moisturises just as well…Oh an if any of you already have tried it, I’d love to hear your experience!

The other product I use almost daily is Too Faced’s Lip Injection plumping gloss. This one I usually apply on top of other lipsticks because of the super shine finish. The Lip Injection plumping gloss contains cinnamon and mint which stings your lips, making them puff up a bit and appear plumper. I know, sounds painful but I promise it isn’t! I actually really like the stinging burn (it’s really more of a tingle) and it only lasts about 5 minutes when you first put it on. I might actually try the Lip Injection Extreme when it’s time for a restock. I heard it burns a little more but also has a bigger plumping effect! Yay, now we can all look like Kylie Jenner without the stupid lip challenge.

You’re welcome.

MissGuided x MissAdonis

Co-ord set – MissGuided
Belt – The Lair Leather
Shoes – Verali

I was super excited to do this post after being approached by MissGuided (one of my favourite online stores) to review some of their gear! So, here’s what I got :)

The first outfit is very Kim K. inspired. I don’t usually go for the chic look but I guess my style is evolving with my age. I’m still heavily inspired by my favourite gypsy rocker brands (like The Lair Leather) so I’ve pulled together this outfit that shows off both the chic and gypsy rocker styles in a way that clashes but still works! Oh and…Did I mention that this outfit comes at a bargain? The quality is great for the low price and I’ve thrown it through the washing machine and dryer and it’s still in mint condition.

Belt – The Lair Leather
Jacket – MissGuided

Now for the second outfit…Again, I’ve styled this with inspiration from both chic and boho-biker styles in mind. This one leans more towards the gypsy rocker side (thanks to that killer fringed jacket) which I totally love! I’m really liking the awkward clash between the two polar opposite styles and will probably toy with it more in the future! Let me know what you think? 😀

Between thin lines

Striped cropped knit // Dotti
Midi skirt // Kookai
Necklaces // Arrow Divine, Showpo
Watch // Daniel Wellington
Rings // Shop Dixi, Glebe Markets

Okay, so I’ve kind of become obsessed with wearing different textures this season. The amount of ribbed knits I’ve accumulated over the past month is ridiculous.  Here’s one of my favourite knit crops from Dotti paired with Kookai’s bodycon midi that I wore to work the other day. I’m also really getting into the midi length skirts – I feel like working a 9-5 business job may have influenced that..

Anyway, you probably know by now that I wear a belt with almost every outfit – they just pull everything together. The belt I’m wearing with this outfit was actually made by my talented uncle. Eee, the detail in it is just stunning.  He is thinking of making more and selling them online – would that be of interest to anyone? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

With autumn in full swing, I’ve been playing around with layering – especially with lengthy layers. Often it’s a headache trying to find mid-full length cardigans and coats for short girls, but I’ve stumbled across a few this season and can’t wait to share them with you. My boy is going overseas for London and Paris fashion week again so I’ll have plenty of freed up time to post more! In the mean time, I’m finding myself spending a lot of time on Instagram so keep up with me there. Also…I’m looking for new style inspo on Instagram and I’d love if you can tag me in anything you think I’ll like! See you there. 😉

Shopping for jeans has always caused drama. I’m sure most of you have had your fair share of disappointment when you can’t find the right fit. Well, guess what… I found the perfect jeans. Finally! I can’t even explain how amazing the Cropa Cabana jeans from Dr Denim feel on. They’re super stretchy, providing maximum comfort, and the cropped leg fits nicely as full length on me. Seriously… short girls, look no further. These babies will definitely be one of my staple pieces for AW15.

If you’re thinking of buying them online don’t forget to shop around for coupons and deals! I typically get all my fashion boutique discount codes and deals from this website here. The site always has working codes and there’s currently a deal for Surfstitch too which stock Dr Denim! Anyway, I’d love to hear where you go to for online discounts so drop me a line below.

I’ve been meaning to share the Desert Rose playsuit with you for a while now. It’s from Spell & the Gypsy Collective which has all the gypsy goodness you’ll ever need! I’ve paired the playsuit with my favourite biker jacket and leather boots to give it a more gypsy rocker vibe. And of course, nothing finishes off the outfit better than some statement silver jewellery. Let me know your thoughts! :)
